JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify order accuracy by matching pulled product against pick tickets
• Band and shrink wrap products using hand-held banders, woodblocks, and automatic pallet wrap machines
• Pull small orders using a hand truck or pushcart
• Keep warehouse clean and neat (sweeping, empty cans, picking up debris, etc.)
• Assist with shipping orders which may include pulling, boxing for shipment, creating labels using a computer
• Shipping Fedex and UPS knowledge a plus
• Perform various other duties and special projects as assigned
• Inventory and cycle counts
• Use of tabletop chop saw to cut wooden blocks and pallets
• 40-hour workweek Monday-Friday (OT during peak season)

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a minimum of 1 year within a warehouse environment
• Must be dependable and on time
• Must be willing to work overtime and some Saturdays during the busy season
• Must be self-motivated, be able to work independently, be trustworthy, and have good communication skills
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills and a keen eye for detail
• Communicate well and work effectively with other team members
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
• Present a professional image at all times
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• UPS Worldship and Fedex experience a plus
• Must be able to read and communicate in English
• Pre-employment requirements: personality assessment, drug test, background check, and reference check are performed at a cost to the company

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, touch, and use tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, grasp, see, talk, hear and walk during the course of employment.
• Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a good sense of balance; good hand-eye coordination; be able to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
