What You’ll Do

Grow the Territory

• Prospect aggressively for new dealer relationships and business opportunities throughout the Hudson Valley.
• Expand market share by developing new customers while increasing business with existing accounts.
• Identify competitive opportunities and position MRS as the distributor of choice.
• Develop strategic growth plans for your territory and execute them with discipline and consistency.

Build Lasting Customer Relationships

• Serve as the primary business partner for independent lumberyards, national accounts, specialty dealers, and home centers.
• Build strong relationships with owners, purchasing teams, sales managers, and outside sales representatives.
• Help customers grow their businesses through product recommendations, promotions, training, and strategic planning.
• Become a trusted advisor who creates value beyond the products you sell.

Represent Industry-Leading Brands

• Sell MRS’s portfolio of premium building products, including market-leading brands in decking, railing, siding, weatherization, millwork, and specialty building materials.
• Conduct product demonstrations, sales meetings, and educational training programs.
• Support dealer events, contractor nights, open houses, and trade shows.

Own Your Business

• Maintain a consistent field presence throughout the territory (approximately four days on the road and one day working remotely).
• Utilize CRM tools to manage opportunities, customer activity, and territory performance.
• Partner with our inside sales, purchasing, and operations teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Experience

• 3+ years of successful outside sales, territory management, business development, or account management experience.
• Building materials, lumber, construction products, millwork, or related industry experience strongly preferred.

Local Market Knowledge

• Reside within the Hudson Valley territory.
• Familiarity with independent lumberyards, specialty dealers, home centers, contractors, and building material markets throughout the region.
